Career: David Higgitt is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore. He is a member (and former newsletter editor) of the British Geomorphological Research Group and the co-convenor of its Working Group on Upland Sediment Budgets. He is also a panel adjudicator for the Royal Geographical Society-IBG Hong Kong Research Grants scheme. He is a member of the Faculty Curriculum Review Committee. Within the Department, Professor Higgitt is a member of the Teaching Evaluation Committee, the Research/Teaching Strategies Committee (Co-Chair of the Research Strategy Sub-committee), the Journal Classification Committee, the Laboratory and Equipment Committee, the staff in charge of the Geo Lab, and is the Honours Year Advisor and a Faculty Ambassador. He is co-editor of the Journal of Geography in Higher Education (see url below) and a member of the Editorial Board of the Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography.
