Career: Tracey German joined the Defence Studies Department of King's College London in 2004. Prior to this she lectured at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and the University of Aberdeen, and worked as a research manager for a business intelligence company, specializing in energy security. Her current research interests are the ongoing conflict in Chechnya, security in the Caucasus and Central Asia, and energy issues in the former Soviet states. Tracey German is co-editor of the journal Defence Studies (see url below).

Publications include: Russia's Chechen War 2003; several book chapters and articles in professional journals
