Career: Dominik Schaller is a Research Fellow at the Karman Center for
Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Bern in Switzerland
and Lecturer at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg in Germany.
He is co-editor of the Journal of Genocide Research (see url below) and Executive
Secretary of the International Network of Genocide Scholars (INoGS). He is
also an Associate Editor of the Electronic Encyclopedia of Mass Violence and
a member of the editorial team of the historical journal Sozial.Geschichte.
In 1999 he founded a working group for genocide studies at the University
of Zurich and led it until 2004
Publications include: Der Voelkermord an den Armeniern und die Shoah (co-editor) 2002, Enteignet – Vertrieben – Ermordet. Beiträge zur Genozidforschung (co-author) 2004, Raphael Lemkin: The “Founder of the United Nations’ Genocide Convention” as a Historian of Mass Violence (contributing co-editor); numerous book chapters and articles on genocide and colonialism in professional journals
