Career: Peter Jackson is Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Politics at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He joined the Department in 1997 after teaching and holding research fellowships at the University of Cambridge and at Yale and Carleton Universities. His research interests include: the origins of the two world wars, the relationship between intelligence and policymaking (‘intelligence studies’) and the history of modern and contemporary Europe. He has published widely in the fields of intelligence and strategic studies and twentieth century international history and the history of modern France. He is Chercheur Associé at the Centre d'Histoire de l'Europe du Vingtième Siècle at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Paris and an Extraordinary Fellow of the University of London Institute in Paris. Peter Jackson is co-editor of the journal Intelligence and National Security (see url below).
