Career: Justin Fisher is Professor of Political Science and Deputy Head of the School of Social Sciences at Brunel University. He was previously Head of Politics and History at the same institution. Before joining Brunel University, he taught at London Guildhall University and Birkbeck College, University of London. He is currently convenor of EPOP – the specialist research group of the Political Studies Association focusing on elections, public opinion and parties. His research interests include elections, political parties, campaigning, party finance, constitutional reform, political methodology, and British and comparative politics more generally. He has acted as a consultant to the Electoral Commission and the Committee on Standards in Public Life and, from 2006–07, was principal adviser to the Hayden Phillips review of party funding. Justin Fisher is co-editor of the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties (see url below).
