Career: Deborah Eade was appointed Editor of Development in Practice (see url below) in 1991, shortly after its launch, and is the Founding Editor of the Development in Practice Readers series. She worked for ten years in Latin America for various local and international NGOs, and was, from 1984–91, Oxfam GB's Deputy Regional Representative for Mexico and Central America. She has undertaken consultancies for a number of UN agencies including the ILO and UNHCR, and has been the Rapporteur for various UNRISD conferences. Deborah and her family have lived in the Geneva area in Switzerland since 1994.
